Our mission is to create brighter futures for children and young people. We do this by providing fostering, residential and support services where children and young people can feel safe and cared for. We support them to make positive relationships which give them the confidence to succeed.

Charity launches impact report in partnership with young people
Today St Christopher’s launches our Impact Report 2022, celebrating the achievements of children, young people, foster carers and staff over the last year.
The impact report looks at how St Christopher’s progress towards our three strategic aims:
- More excellent homes, fostering and support for children & young people
- Improve emotional wellbeing
- Promote lifelong learning and thriving
There are stories from all corners of St Christopher’s – from our children’s homes, semi-independent homes and foster families, through to our support in education, therapy and Staying Close for care leavers.
As always, young people’s voices are at the heart of the impact report. They have been involved through writing the introduction, interviewing our Chief Executive and Chairs, and proofreading to make sure they are happy with how they are represented in the text and images.
Through the ‘We Say It’s Okay’ logo on the back of the report, you can see that young people’s contributions are valued and taken on-board.
Chief Executive Jonathan Whalley said: “I am thrilled to share our Impact Report 2022 with the world. Our young people have achieved so many things, which are even more impressive considering the challenges we have all faced during the past year.
“I feel so proud to be part of this charity that is doing life-changing work every single day, and I hope everyone else who reads this report is proud too.”
