Charitable partnership brings new opportunities for young people

Little Lives, a local charity in Wandsworth, has generously donated games consoles, books, arts and crafts, games and a punchbag to St Christopher’s new children’s home in the borough.

Little Lives has previously fundraised for St Christopher’s and wanted to continue supporting us. When we told them that the team at the children’s home were looking for games, books and arts and crafts, they delivered everything that the team had asked for and more.

The charity have also offered to provide work placements for young people at St Christopher’s, which aligns with our third strategic aim of lifelong learning and thriving. We are excited to develop this further so that our young people can learn the key skills that will help them find jobs in the future.

Lucellta, who manages the residential home, said: “The team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Little Lives. Their gifts and offer of ongoing support to our young people (both in terms of donations and potential work placements) is greatly appreciated.

“We know that our young people will have fun and will be creative with all of these varied gifts. Most of all they will have the opportunity to learn whilst relaxing and having fun.”
