“I can see a future for myself now”
Helping children in our care to have happy childhoods is so important to us, one of the activities we run is a weekly football club. Generous donations we’ve received have funded a new kit for the team, which has helped the players feel like they belong to something. Ryan is one of the proud team members.
“Finding St Christopher’s is one of the best things that’s happened to me. I feel like I have people around who care and I get support to really get on with my life.
“A while back I was going through a really tricky time. Having football helped me stay close with my key worker and the team at my home. I’ve learned a lot about how to deal with challenges and losses.
“Coming to football showed me that I can meet new people and make good friends. It’s given me the confidence and motivation to apply for coaching courses. I can see a future for myself now and have started to take the right steps towards it.”
By making a donation, you can help young people like Ryan build their confidence and self-belief.
