Placing a child with a foster family
St Christopher’s have foster carers living across the West Midlands, Essex, Peterborough and London. We can provide different types of foster placements, including solo placements, therapeutic placements and sibling placements. Our carers are passionate about providing the best standard of care to the children they look after.
Matching is something we take very seriously. From the moment we receive a referral we think about the support that each foster carer can offer, and start thinking about pieces of work we can do to make a difference to the young person right from the start.
Our learning from other work with young people means we have a wealth of knowledge available to support foster parents with whatever situation arises. Whether it’s advice from staff in our child sexual exploitation service or help with young people who go missing, our social workers can guide carers in the right direction to ensure the child is receiving the best care.
