Trust funds young people’s life skills
In July, St Christopher’s Fellowship received a generous grant of £20,000 from the Sisters of the Holy Cross Charitable Trust towards our Skills for Life Programme.
The Sisters of the Holy Cross Charitable Trust provide funding for holistically educational projects that support children and young people, the disadvantaged, marginalised and vulnerable in society. The Trust have been funding St Christopher’s Fellowship since 2018, when they first provided support for Skills for Life.
This funding is greatly appreciated and will help enable our Skills for Life team to continue working with children and young people in in our residential homes. The team helps young people prepare for the move from a home to independent living and works with around 900 young people each year. We are the primary source of care and support for many of these young people and so this support can have a huge impact on their lives.
We are thrilled with the renewed funding from the Sisters of the Holy Cross which will help the team continue the vital work they do alongside young people, helping them to thrive in care and once they go on to live independently.
