We are delighted to be working with a local company, Tomorrow London, in Putney, which has chosen to support us.
Tomorrow London has raised money through various events organised by their Engagement Team, such as a game’s night, a sponsored walk, and a raffle, all in aid of St Christopher’s.
Support also included their very first volunteering opportunity with us. Over two afternoons, teams from the local creative and media agency visited our home in Southwest London to help rejuvenate the large garden.
Gardening might not be in their usual job descriptions, but all happily swapped laptops for trowels. Everyone got stuck in. By the end of two days of hard work, the outdoor space was completely transformed. Our staff at the home, with heartfelt thanks, told all involved how important it is for the young people to have a welcoming garden. It was a rewarding experience for all and a brilliant reminder of the power of teamwork and community spirit.
The home’s manager said…
“The team did a fantastic job.” The garden now looks much better for our annual BBQ. The garden is often used by the young people, and having it look better makes such a difference.”
The Home that benefited is an eight-bed, semi-independent home for young people in Richmond. It helps them prepare to transition from the care system to independent living.
We are thankful for their ongoing commitment and their generous support.
“The Team at Tomorrow are delighted to have St. Christopher’s Fellowship as our chosen company charity. Everyone in the agency is super engaged to try and run with a variety of initiatives that will support the brilliant efforts that are being made to facilitate change for good for the young people in their care. Even if we can do a little bit, we hope that we can change a life for the better. We will continue our endeavours and hope to raise more money going forward.”
