Isle of Man contract extended for two years
The Isle of Man Government has extended St Christopher’s contract to run services on the island for a further two years.
St Christopher’s has provided services for children and young people on the island since 2004. Currently we run children’s homes, a secure care home, 16+ services and support, and outreach services in the community.
Some of the team’s successes over the last year include:
- supporting young people to take part in the Social Care Institute of Excellence (SCIE) review into mental health support for looked after children;
- the first care-experienced trustee joining the Isle of Man council;
- and two apprenticeships for young people starting in St Christopher’s office on the island.
Chief Executive Ron Giddens said: “We are delighted to continue working with the Isle of Man Government to create brighter futures. I want to say a huge thank you to all the team, who have impressed the Government with their hard work and dedication to all the young people we work with.”
