Home plants the seeds of healthy living

Staff and young people at a St Christopher’s children’s home in the West Midlands have been redesigning their garden into a lovely setting that everyone can enjoy.

The project was set up to promote healthy lifestyles and being active outdoors, with support from other members of staff.

The home have set up a vegetable patch and greenhouse so that they could grow potatoes, chillies, lettuces and strawberries, along with lots of other delicious things.

Young people also got involved in the green-fingered activities by learning how to use the strimmer and help with the garden.
