Grant support helps young people’s education
The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust has awarded a grant to St Christopher’s to assist with the costs of our education support service in the UK.
School and college closures caused by the coronavirus outbreak are leading to educational disruption, which could widen the attainment gap and further disadvantage young people who are in care or have experience of care.
This donation will go towards running costs for our newly established UK-based education support programme and will provide 15 new laptops for young people living in our 16+ services so they can access education more easily.
Director of Income and Development Geneva Ellis said: “We are so grateful to the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust for supporting St Christopher’s young people so we can ensure their education is as substantial and impactful as possible, especially during our charity’s 150th year.”
If you would like to support St Christopher’s please donate to us today.
