Trusts and foundations

Trusts and foundations play an integral role in helping St Christopher’s support and care for children and young people. Grants provide essential funding for many of our projects. Without this invaluable assistance, we would be unable to provide services for the children and young people that we help.

We are extremely grateful to all of our trust funders. Our challenge is to continue raising even more to fund our rapidly growing services for people in need of support.

John’s story

When John was 16, his Mum’s new boyfriend kicked him out of home.  John managed to stay with friends for a bit but ended up sleeping rough in the park.  After a few weeks, he was desperate for a place to live and heard about our supported housing services.  We were able to give John a bed and he settled in well. We encouraged him to enrol on a computer course. After six months St Christopher’s helped John to find a flat of his own and a job with the local council. John is still working and his keyworker regularly checks on him to make sure that he’s doing well.
