"I am very happy in my foster home, even if we are not family by blood, we live as a family and will continue to be like that forever, even after I leave home." St Christopher's fostered child

The decision to welcome a child into your home and family is a big one, but the staff at St Christopher's are here to help.

St Christopher's believes the better we support our foster carers, the better they can support the child in their care.

If you are interested in becoming a foster carer please contact us at fostering@stchris.org.uk, on 0800 234 6282, or register your interest online.

Who can foster?

You do not have to be married or a home owner to become a foster carer but you must have:

  • The time and commitment needed to look after a child who might be a challenge
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a sense of humour!
  • A spare room

If you have experience of working with vulnerable children, perhaps in social work, foster care, youth work, residential childcare or teaching, you may want to consider specialist foster care.

For more information on making placements with St Christopher's fostering services please contact us on 0800 234 6282 or at fosteringduty@stchris.org.uk.
