St Christopher’s is proud to unveil a brand-new purpose-built supported housing centre for young people in Milton Keynes.
The new building, at Downhead Park, offers a safe supported environment to 10 single people aged 16-21 with high needs.
It has been designed with the needs of our service users in mind, and developed in partnership with Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association (BPHA).
Downhead Park provides a needs-led service, tailored to the individual.
Support is offered for up to two years, with the option of reducing or increasing this according to individual levels of need. When a service user is assessed as being able to sustain his or her independent tenancy or as needing higher or lower level of support, they will be moved onto another support provision that better meets their needs.
Young people can be referred to this new service by the Milton Keynes Housing
Department, Children’s Services, and the Youth Offending Team.
