The Guardian newspaper has drawn up the shortlist for this year's Guardian Public Services Awards, which aim to recognise hard work and bright ideas across the public sector.
St Christopher’s groundbreaking service user participation project is on the shortlist for one of these prestigious awards in the customer service category.
The project is led by former service user Lara Macardle and Service User Participation Worker Vanessa Bell. Its main aim is to ensure that service users are involved and consulted at every level of St Christopher’s development; that the services provided are exactly what service users need, and that they are constantly evaluated and improved.
The Guardian Public Services Awards provide a national platform to highlight the dedicated and too often unsung work of teams in all areas of the public services.
The winners will be announced on 5 December at a ceremony in central London.
