High praise from Limegrove service users

Limegrove may have conceded the St Christopher’s football championship crown this year, but their culinary traditions go from strength to strength.

This year’s annual barbecue, held in late summer, built on the success of previous years’ events.

The food was plentiful and delicious, as we have come to expect, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This year’s barbecue fun also featured a hula-hoop competition, for those brave enough to join in.

The barbecue was well attended by staff and residents, both past and present, many of who took the opportunity to speak highly of the event itself, and of Limegrove in general.

‘It was a good day and the food was really nice. I joined in the hula-hoop competition. Next year I’d like to play more games.’
Jen

‘It was spectacular. Very well organized and run. A great effort from staff, and really nice food.’
Liz

‘It was a very enjoyable afternoon, and made a nice change.’

‘I’ve been in the hostel for two months now and the staff are fantastic. We had a barbecue and it was amazing. The food was so good and the way the staff looked after us was beyond belief. It was a very enjoyable evening!”
