St Christopher's has been awarded all "green lights" by the Housing Corporation in its published formal assessment of how the organisation is governed and managed. The organisation was assessed in three of the Housing Corporation's four categories and received green lights in all three.
The Housing Corporation is the government agency that is responsible for overseeing the conduct of all housing associations and it has wide powers to intervene when it believes that an association is not being properly governed, or properly managed or its viability is in question.
The Housing Corporation's assessment (HCA) is made on the basis of a self-assessment against the Corporation's standards (the "Regulatory Code"), documentary evidence provided by us and meetings with senior staff and/or trustees.
Three green lights is the best assessment we could have achieved, with amber and red lights being awarded when the Corporation is not satisfied with the conduct of an association's affairs.
