Two more of our residential children’s homes have received outstanding Ofsted inspection reports, leading to them attaining ‘Outstanding Provider’ status from Ofsted.
All children's homes are regularly inspected by Ofsted and are graded from ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Outstanding’. Receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating at inspection demonstrates that homes are providing the highest levels of quality care and represents real dedication from the staff teams. Outstanding Provider status is awarded only to children’s homes that achieve two consecutive ‘outstanding’ inspections within a year.
Ron Giddens, Director of Operations at St Christopher’s, said: ‘Only a very small percentage of homes achieve this prestigious award and so this represents huge effort and achievement from our teams.’
St Christopher’s Bedfordshire home was described by Ofsted as ‘…a well managed service where young people are cared for by experienced and competent staff who are passionate about promoting good outcomes for young people.’
The views of a local authority commissioner about the north west London home was that 'It’s excellent… I can't fault the staff team - they couldn't do any more. They are dedicated to what they are doing and complete tasks to the nth degree.'
