Housing and support

We work in partnership with local authorities to provide safe and comfortable houses and flats, for 16 to 25 year-olds.

We’re there to help young people develop the emotional and practical skills they need to manage their lives and live independently.

Young people are supported for up to two years.  During this time each resident has their own designated support officer, who helps them to identify their needs and develop new skills.

We help our residents to

  • acquire essential life skills such as budgeting and cooking
  • develop negotiation and decision-making skills
  • make informed choices about their lives
  • grow in self-confidence and belief in their own ability to suceed
  • understand tenancy rights and obligations
  • respect the privacy and property of others
  • understand their housing options and consider alternatives to social housing
  • access further education
  • improve their chances of getting a job
  • recognise and manage risk
  • maintain good physical and sexual health.
